Ram Ramirez was born in San Juan Puerto Rico. A professional jazz pianist for over 40 years, Ramirez played with a succession of jazz groups and artists including The Spirits of Rhythm, Ella Fitzgerald, Frankie Newton, Charlie Barnet, T-Bone Walker, and The Harlem Blues and Jazz Band. He also wrote a number of songs but is best known for his contribution to “Lover Man” (1942).
