Mitzi Green started her show business career at the age of three in her parents’ vaudeville act. Her movie highlights include, at the age of ten, Becky Thatcher in Tom Sawyer (1930) and then Huckleberry Finn (1931), and Annie in Little Orphan Annie (1932). At age 14 she played in the Jack Benny comedy Transatlantic Merry-Go-Round (1934) and then focused largely on nightclub performances and stage including Babes in Arms (1937) where she introduced the Rodgers and Hart song “My Funny Valentine.” Green returned to film in the early 1950s playing in the Abbott and Costello movie Lost in Alaska (1952) and in Bloodhounds of Broadway (1952).
