This excellent book contains a compilation of 25 interviews with muscians who first came to prominence during the 1950s including: Mose Allison, Dave Bailey, Bob Brookmeyer, Bill Crow, Herb Geller, Frank Isola, Lee Konitz, Gerry Mulligan, Lennie Niehaus, Hod O’Brien, Phil Urso, and Phil Woods. The author’s purpose is to help preserve the oral history of a great American artform.
